Trakehner Stallion Favian gets his 15 minutes
Welcome to The Big Red Horse, a blog about Favian *Ps*, a big red Trakehner stallion we are fortunate to have as a member of our breeding operation, Two Run Creek Trakehners. I hope that this blog allows this amazing animal (and family member) to get his 15 minutes of fame.
Bill & I purchased Favian in March 2007 from Chuck and Danette Wharton of Lancaster Oaks. His arrival at our farm, Thistledown, was a wonderful occasion. I smile every morning when he greets me with a nicker asking to be fed first. He is always happy to go for a ride, teach me a new dressage movement or simply to have his big red ears scratched.
I hope you will enjoy the tales of the Big Red Horse, a warmblood horse with a twinkle in his eye.
Special thanks to photographer Karri Henning for this great shot of Favian taken at the American Trakehner Association convention in Texas earlier this month.

I am hoping this is the right type of horse I was thinking of…back when I was a youngin 12 or 13, I saw a picture of a huge “red” horse and I drew a picture of it. Is this the right horse and name is this too? Please e-mail me back to rest my mind.Thankyou, Patricia
